I KNOW I've talked about Steph on here before, and I KNOW that I've gushed about her books on here before, but her writing is genuinely gorgeous, her characters STAY with me for a long time, and that, to me, is the mark of a good book.
(YES - Steph has written more books than these, but these are her solo author titles)
Ben and Quinn from Grounding Quinn are one of my favorite book couples EVER.
Way up there with Brittany and Alex from Perfect Chemistry, and Conrad and "Belly" from Jenny Han's summer series, and Mia and Adam from If I Stay and Where She Went by Gayle Forman and even yes, Cricket, from Lola and the Boy Next Door ;-).
I met Steph because of Grounding Quinn, and I was lucky enough to get to read Beautiful Things Never Last early :-D
This makes me really, really love being good friends with such a talented author ;-)
I can always count on Steph for an appropriate amount of outrage when I need it in response to an email, and for the most interesting collection of curse words (not a joke).
She's as awesome in person as you'd expect for all the awesomeness of her writing.
Her daughter Britta, and the trials she's been through with her, have shown another side of Stephanie in her willingness for fundraisers and speaking in behalf of children with heart conditions. I'm amazed by Steph all the time. And I've probably just embarrassed her ;-)
We "shop" together online as much as anything else, and I love that I'm not the only girl who spends waaaaaaay too much time looking at clothes online and hitting refresh on Modcloth...
SO. One happy commenter will get an ebook of Delicate, Grounding Quinn and Beautiful Things Never Last - or...I'll complete your set if you already have one or two... ;-) I'll probably draw the winner sometime on Monday, unless I forget - then on Tuesday...
I am grateful ALL the time for the amazing people I meet online, and over the next few weeks, I'm gonna introduce you all to the women who hear from me SO often, and that I know I sometimes have to get an eyeroll when yet another one of my emails drops in their inbox, lol.
And because Steph, in my mind, is known for her gorgeous way with words - what's the last book you read where the author's language was stunning?

You can find Steph on her website here and links to stalk her from there :-D

It wasn't the ever night chick, I'll tell you that! I liked the first fallen book, but they went to the crapper after that.
Quinn is my #1 book crush of all time. I love everything Steph Campbell has ever written or cowritten. I also have had the pleasure of corresponding with her in email and Facebook and blogs. Truly a wonderful human being.
One of the things that has really drawn me to the YA/NA genre has been the support so many of the authors offer to each other. Steph introduced me to you, and Tamara Webber, and from her to Colleen Hoover. An amazing collaboration of talent and good people.
No need to enter me in the contest, I already won everything she has published, but had to agree that she is a special writer, and even more special human being. As are you. You both are on my "Buy the moment it goes live" list. LOL
I thought Grounding Quinn was a fantastic book. I haven't read the others yet though.
I recently finished reading Sever by Lauren DeStefano and really thought it was a beautifully written story.
As far as language goes, I'm always in awe of The Sky Is Everywhere. And White Oleander by Janet Fitch makes me itchy with how gorgeous the prose is.
What a great post! Now I really want to read these.

I loved the poetic quality of Reached by Ally Condie. There were some truly beautiful turns of phrases in that book.
This year I read and loved WHAT HAPPENS NEXT by Colleen Clayton, WHITE OLEANDER (omg that writing!!!) and I just bought WHERE IT BEGAN. I love all of these for their distinct voices and language...but my ultimate book writing love is THE SKY IS EVERYWHERE. Wow...just wow.
I love how supportive the YA/NA community is. You can just read your serious love through this post! :-) Consider me entered- I've never read a Steph book before.
Now that I have a bit of latitude in what I read, I'm going to have to get on some of these books you keep recommending!! I've come to realize that in so many "literary fiction" books (at least the MFA kind) there is so little falling in love. I miss that.
The last published novel I read with truly beautiful evocative prose? Probably Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern. I've read a lot of great books lately, well written and masterfully crafted, but that one sticks out as one with beautiful prose.
The best one, though, is one not due out until fall of 2014. The words themselves stopped me from breathing. I had to put it down a few times because the words were so powerfully and breathtakingly put together my heart felt like it stopped. Those kinds of stories are rare, and a little like miracles.
I'm finally getting around to reading some of the books you have recommended, and I'm definitely adding today's books to the TBR pile!
As far as stunning language goes, I have loved Neil Gaiman's word choices in almost everything that I've read.
Sadly, I can't think of anything off the tip of my head that I loved the language. :-( But, I have heard such great things about Stephen Campbell and am looking forward to reading her works.
I want to dance around this post with butterflies! Love it so hard. Steph is INCREDIBLE. Love her. Love you. I am blessed with awesome friends.
LOL I meant to say I already OWN everything she has written or cowritten, not WON it! ROFL. Her books are so good though even when you buy them you feel like you won.
I need to read these books! One of the last books I read that Wowed me with words was The Sea of Tranquility.:)
I think one book where I loved the language was The Sea of Tranquility by Katja Millay. It was just so beautiful. I also really loved the language in Beautiful Disaster by Jamie McGuire. Language is so powerful.
Thanks for the chance! (:
I really enjoyed the dialogue in THE FAULT IN OUR STARS. Those kids are mature beyond their years.
My brain is fried at the moment so I can't think of beautiful words from a book. Or even the last one I read. But I LOVE Steph. And Ben and Quinn!!
Have a great weekend.
I really enjoyed the language used in Hopeless by Colleen Hoover and in The Fault in Our Stars. Two amazing books!
I spend way too much time shopping online too! I've seen alot of great reviews for Steph's work... thanks for sharing the love:)

I have a new twist on an old saying - there's not enough hours in the day...to read to my heart's content, especially when I'm following all the great blogs and entering contests for new books. I do have to say it is a great way to find out about new books that I don't have enough time to read. (I seem to have come full circle.)
Oh my gosh. Those are my favorite books in that first paragraph. I didn't read any of them, but they sound amazing! And I'm sure they are :D Gosh, if I don't win, I'm going to have to go and buy them all. I have to read these sometime soon. Problem is, I'm broke from the last time I bought books. Whyyyyy? D;

Thank you <3
I don't know about stunning, but Terry Pratchetts' use of words is second to none I think.

I love Belly and Conrad too! Hmm I'll have to read perfect chemistry soon to find out about Brittany and Alex! Grounding Quinn sounds interesting too... :)
I haven't read Grounding Quinn yet but I saw a review of the sequel where she breaks up with her boyfriend. I don't know how I feel about sequels where the happy ever after doesn't last. Kind of makes me sad for the characters:(
