~~~
I met Jolene through Nyrae, so I suppose it's fitting the way this blog tour worked out (You can check my visit with Nyrae here)! And through our love of love, and gorgeous fonts we have grown to a friendship that resulted in a lot of emails with the subject line "Can you do me a favor?" So similar to what I'm doing on the other blogs I'll be visiting this week, I am going to give away a copy of TIGHT KNIT plus a copy of one of Jolene's books to TWO lucky commenters! If you've already read all of Jolene's books then I will gift a copy of one of her books to someone of your choice! All you have to do is leave a comment with your email address and two people will be chosen at random on Friday, January 18! Kindle only. My most sincere apologies! I'm Canadian so Barnes and Nobel won't let me buy books there...or sell them... I know, right!? Stop by my blog all this week to see behind the scenes of TIGHT KNIT. Playlists, inspirations, processes, a couple signed paperbacks up for grabs AND a special surprise!Tuesday, January 15, 2013
Allie Brennan and Giving Away More Books :-D
*peeks in*
Oh, Hi Jolene, and all of Jolene's fabulous people! I just poked my head in for a little shameless self promotion.
See I just released my first book ever, and I just want to talk about it!
*cracks knuckles*
I guess I'll just get started then, hey?
When I decided to commit to this writing game, everyone thought I was crazy. And I mean everyone... Including me.
But here I am a few years later with a shiny copy of my debut novel, TIGHT KNIT. Most people still think I'm crazy, but what I think is crazy is the amazing response I'm getting to a story that is so close to my heart.
To show my appreciation I am traveling the blogs of a few of my biggest supporters, cheerleaders, reality-check-givers and midnight email responders to give away my book!
Talia Gregory relies on her Nan for everything, especially helping her calm the anxiety that controls her life. But Nan gets sick, and it couldn’t be worse timing. Talia’s panic attacks are getting worse, her boyfriend is a jerk, her best friend is distant, her parents are more absent than usual and she’s stuck planning the Cozy Christmas Charity Drive for her knitting group in place of Nan. If that’s not panic inducing enough, enter Lachlan.
Lachlan McCreedy doesn’t rely on anyone. Not after what he’s been through. It’s him and Gram, nothing else matters but keeping his past buried, and his secrets hidden. So when Gram forces him to help with her Christmas sale, Talia is the last thing he expected, and trusting her with his secrets comes as a shock to both of them. But when he unexpectedly falls for her, the question becomes can he trust her with his heart?
First of all, Jolene, your new headermade me laugh - great way to promote lol!
I am really, really, really looking forward to reading Tight Knit. As someone who lives with anxiety, I have a feeling I will really relate to this story.
I've never really thought about fonts until I started seeing Jo talk about them. Now I pay more attention. And I've even been writing my newest WIP in something other than Times New Roman. Sometimes you just gotta do something wild and crazy. (Man, I must be boring.)
What's with the Canadian B&N thing? I will have to google that.
And I'll throw my name into the drawing. Thank you.
This sounds like an interesting story that I could get lost in.
